Making Advanced Airway Management More Accessible.
Developing practical, affordable video-assisted airway technology designed to support clinicians wherever patients need care.
Successful airway management saves lives.
Yet access to video-assisted intubation remains limited in many healthcare settings because of cost, equipment availability and the challenges of delivering advanced airway care outside specialised centres.
The E-Bougiescope is Acrrnovation's innovative video-assisted intubation system, developed to make advanced airway management more accessible, practical and affordable across diverse clinical environments.
Designed around the principles of simplicity, portability and clinical usability, the E-Bougiescope aims to bring the benefits of video-assisted intubation to healthcare professionals wherever patients need it most — from emergency departments and operating theatres to ambulances, critical care units and remote healthcare settings.
Because every clinician deserves access to better airway tools.
The idea for the E-Bougiescope emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, video-assisted airway devices became an essential part of clinical practice, helping clinicians improve visualisation while increasing the distance between the operator and the patient's airway during high-risk procedures.
However, these devices were often expensive and inaccessible to many healthcare providers, particularly in resource-limited settings. This highlighted an important question.
Could advanced airway technology be redesigned to become simpler, more portable and more affordable without compromising its clinical purpose?
That question marked the beginning of the E-Bougiescope. What started as a concept evolved through years of design, prototyping and refinement into a practical innovation focused on improving access to video-assisted intubation.
The device has since progressed to patent application and is currently undergoing further development and evaluation.
We believe every clinician should have access to reliable airway technology, regardless of where they practise.
The E-Bougiescope is being developed to support emergency medicine, anaesthesia, intensive care, prehospital medicine and global healthcare by making video-assisted airway management more widely available.
Our vision is simple.
To help make advanced airway management accessible wherever patients need it.
Every design decision began with one question:
Will this help clinicians secure an airway more safely, more confidently and more efficiently?
If the answer was no, we redesigned it.
The result is a device focused on practical clinical use rather than unnecessary complexity.
Developed with the goal of making video-assisted intubation available to more healthcare professionals across a wider range of clinical environments.
Designed to be lightweight, compact and suitable for use in emergency departments, operating theatres, ambulances, critical care units and remote healthcare settings.
Inspired by real clinical experience to support straightforward deployment during routine and difficult airway management.
Designed with the flexibility to evolve alongside future imaging technologies, digital platforms and educational applications.
The E-Bougiescope is being developed for use across a wide range of clinical settings, including:
The E-Bougiescope represents years of continuous learning, engineering and clinical refinement. The innovation has progressed from concept and prototype development to patent application and is continuing through evaluation and further development.
Every stage of this journey has been guided by one objective:
Making advanced airway management more accessible to clinicians around the world.
Airway management continues to evolve through advances in imaging, digital technologies and clinician education. The E-Bougiescope is being developed to contribute to that future by combining practical engineering with real clinical experience.
Our ambition is not simply to build another airway device.
It is to help improve access to advanced airway care wherever it is needed.
