The inspiration behind OrthoTrax came from years of working in emergency medicine. Existing traction devices have transformed trauma care, but many require multiple sizes, occupy valuable storage space or can be cumbersome to transport and deploy in the field.
We believed there was an opportunity to rethink the design.
Our objective was to create a single, adaptable system capable of supporting a broad range of patients while remaining lightweight, durable and simple to use in both hospital and prehospital environments.
